Some dots from the last couple of days.
Today has been a time to catch up with myself after the hard work of our Barnoon Workshop team's lantern parade yesterday so have realised that I have done some small scale drawings over the last couple of days so here they are...
Above is one I did a while ago on handmade paper with a gold metallic gel pen. It has a certain sense of purity.
Above strangely seasonal for me I have an offering of a Christmas Tree through the medium of dots. It has been a nice relaxing day with a bit of cleaning up at the workshop and then 7 of 'The Team' joined together for a carvery at The Western Hotel a very social evening and some nice comments from other diners about our parade last night, all feels good but tomorrow the fight goes on to live our lives as artists. So we will be at Barnoon Workshop tomorrow morning for the Drop in and draw session and really looking forward to it with a few festive treats.
I am off to draw.... Cheers!

The 2nd Annual St Ives Lantern Parade and of course some of my drawings too.
Above and a few below are pics of what is the climax of a lot of hard work and fun. Above you see our parade leader Pete Jarmen who made himself a nice outfit for the occaision.
Above and below are a couple of other shots I managed to take with my phone of our 2nd annual St Ives Lantern Parade. It was a lovely event for us to be part of and the reception from the general public was fabulous. Onward and upward for next years event, hopefully we will get a bit more funding next year and make it even bigger and more fun. Thanks to everyone who made this possible with a really small budget, musicians, lantern makers, St Ives In December, The Town Council, Linda Taylor The Mayor, The Wave Project etc etc.....
We are proud that Barnoon Workshop is such a big part of this.
Below is Polly The Parrot on our new puppet lantern, mega thanks Morag.
Above and below are a couple of my ceramic drawings I did earlier in the year.
Above and below are some more drawings from my this years round up of my work.
It is a bit late tonight to get too wordy about my work after all the antics of our lantern parade, I am tired after all the running up and down the hills of this town helping to get the show on the road. I have to do a little drawing.......

St Ives Lantern Parade and drawing and maybe more.
Today has been a day of getting the remaining lanterns together for our 2nd annual parade and it was brought to our notice that both our local newspapers are right behind our event. So we are now hoping for good weather and lots of people, we also have the St Ives Mermaid who will be at the end of the parade along with our Mayor Linda Taylor.
Above and below are the new puppet that is being added to this years event, I am not putting our new girl pirate on social media just yet but for my blog readers here is a couple of pics of the nearly finished lantern puppet made by our very good friend Morag who has come down from Edinburgh especially to build for us and I think she has done a brilliant job on a small budget. Hopefully next year we will have a lot more funding and we will be able to put on an even bigger show.
Also today there has been a wave warning, apparently there has been and event somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean that is sending this large pulse wave at these shores and with this in mind I took this pic of Porthmeor Beach. There were quite a few surfers out there today taking advantage of a calm weather day with a rather large swell for the conditions, larger waves than would be expected could be seen breaking on our shores, it feels like a small portent to what might come tomorrow, we will see.
Above is a rare pic of me drawing.
Below is a varied set of drawings I have done over the last year.
Looking at these I am thinking that considering I make drawings mainly based in dots they are really quite varied.
I am off to draw, cheers!
