New drawing, work in Progress, exhibition and stats.

Above is a new one from my latest sketchbook, yet another variation and different to what I have done before, I think I will finish off the reverse bleeding narrative version tonight.

Above is the progress  I have made on the latest of my larger A1 scale works. This snap doesn't quite show that I am now about half way through it. I did over 2 hours on this today at the workshop whilst my wife Zoe Eaton was painting.

Above are two larger scale A1 drawings in the exhibition "Art Lovers" with my wife Zoe Eatonat Cafe Art St Ives.

Above are four of my wood drawings hanging in the afore mentioned exhibition at Cafe Art and below a wall shot with mine and Zoe's work together on one wall. We work in different mediums and colours but both our work has some reference to the nature of all things.

Above and below are two further paintings by Zoe at Cafe Art, showing of colour and joy of paint itself with it's chaotic relationship with nature. I feel art speak rearing it's head here so I will stop that.
But I think they are beautiful and contemporary with and abstract vision etc etc... ooops there I go again.

Last night I had the pleasure of watching an arts program on the BBC about what had happened to Van Gogh's Ear. The piece was narrated and led by a new relaxed version of Jeremy Paxman who seems to be finding a nice style to the arts documentary format. Go Paxy, it was a very interesting piece and a wonderful lady who's name escapes me who as an amateur researcher manage to find a small scrap of paper with a diagram by the Doctor who attended Vincent after his night of monumental despair and cutting his ear off as a consequence of circumstance.

For those of you interested in stats and I do know there are a few of you. I am just about to reach my 4,000 blog reads since I started my daily blog. Thank you all.

  1. Serious respect! 4,000 blog views is brilliant. I've had, from memory, around 2,300 from 31 blogs. By the way, I've just done what you do every day - for the last three days I have been producing a three-part blog on the Heartlands experience and JC's 10 pledges. Thanks again for your comments on the first of the three blogs.
